    Different from our usual just-the-two-of-us trips, we recently took a Topdeck Travel tour, for a group-travel experience of a lifetime. 21 days, 4 countries, 14 sleeping destinations, and a collection of 14 strangers who have proven that the best part of travel is the people you meet along the way. The first country on our East African Explorer tour was Zambia. Thick, luscious, green fields for miles; tropical and humid temperatures; friendly people with lovely faces.     Cape Town holds a very special place in my heart. For some reason (and I think I know the reason now, since my good friend Ollie explained the theory of Earth chakras and vortexes, to us the other day ) I have always felt calm and at peace when in Cape Town. The next city on our Trail to the Alps tour was Venice. There are few cities in this world that possess as much charm and character, as Venezia. The next city on our Trail to the Alps tour was Rome.   Rome is way bigger, way more energetic, and way cooler than I thought. Seriously. Stevo might not agree with this, but I could move to Rome tomorrow.     Probably the nicest surprise on our trip so far, has been the 20hrs we spent in Dubai. A city that wasn't on our Wanderlist (until now) and one we used merely as a stop-over when traveling from Australia back to Europe, has shone through the false stories that Dubai is simply a fake world, and instead has blown us away. The idea of Dubai didn't really appeal to us. Shopping malls, big brands, fast cars and a consumerist-driven lifestyle is pretty much the opposite of what our journey stands for. We've sold our belongings, packed very few items into the four bags that we now call our cupboard, and are aiming to live with less, collecting memories not things. One could...

    From family wedding bells in kangaroo-filled nature parks, and boat rides across aquamarine waters surrounding deserted islands, to wine farm hopping and beach dune camping, our trip to Western Australia has been one for the record books.   WEDDING BELLS IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA   Our final stop in the Australian leg of this trip, after two high-class weeks in Sydney, was filled with festivities, quite literally, for days. Stevo's oldest brother got married on November 7th at the gorgeous Serpentine Retreat Centre.
