Our obsession with the Dolomite mountains (and the adorable little town of San Candido) came out of nowhere. Visiting the mountain range was one of the new items we added to our ever-growing wanderlist late last year, after we semi-watched an Austrian show (only semi because we didn’t really understand the audio) about the Bears that have been introduced into the area. That, and this beautiful pic we saw on Chris Burkard’s Instagram feed, had us wanting to visit, so when we spoke to Anna and her mom at the gorgeous Boutique Hotel Zenana, we knew a trip to San Candido had to happen (and soon). So here we were, catching a scenic 4hr train ride from Salzburg (if we’d...

Different from our usual just-the-two-of-us trips, we recently took the Topdeck Travel Trail to the Alps tour, for a group travel experience of a lifetime. 18 days, 8 countries, 14 cities, and a group of 29 strangers who have proven that the best part of travel is the people you meet along the way. The next city on our Trail to the Alps tour was Venice. There are few cities in this world that possess as much charm and character, as Venezia. Everything from the Venetian Gothic architecture, the ornate bridges (of which there are 409), and the mysterious tiny streets (which you will definitely get lost in), to the enchanting masks found at almost every corner, and the cute pasticcerias selling delectable Nutella-covered everythings....

One of the joys of using a service like Workaway to travel, is having the ability to explore the area you’re staying in, including nearby towns and villages. During our recent month staying with our new friends Michele and Laura, volunteering at The Pet’s Academy (where we learnt about dog psychology and pet training), we managed to squeeze in a quick trip to the nearby student town, Perugia. This little Umbrian gem is home to some of the most beautiful Italian structures, with hints of Etruscan, Medieval and Renaissance influences seen throughout the city. I was also VERY happy to discover that my childhood love, Baci (the small round Italian chocolates wrapped in the iconic silver and blue wrapping) originate from Perugia,...

I’m going to start by saying that we aren’t experts when it comes to traveling with a baby. Due to our work (and life choices) we have been lucky enough to take Elodie on several trips, but there is still a lot to learn…especially now as she gets older and transitions from a baby to a walking toddler (which I am still in denial about). So I’ve compiled this guide based on the vast amount of research I’ve done – meaning I’ve read many blog posts, watched many reels, and chatted to my fellow travel-loving parent friends – and the experience we’ve had traveling with Elodie to 14 countries in the last eight months. I hope you find it helpful...

Having been fortunate enough to travel to 60 countries so far, we have seen some stunning places that make it super easy to take a fantastic photo. Our Instagram feed over the year has showcased a lot of these places but we thought it was finally time we compiled a list of the most photogenic locations on our blog. So if you are an avid photographer we hope this post inspires you to get out there and visit one of these incredible locations.
