One epic travel adventure we really hope to do soon, is visit the magical country of Ireland, and here’s just a few reasons why. -\\ The Picture-Perfect Scenery Possibly the number one reason why people apply for Irish citizenship, is for the...

It’s been a while since we’ve done one of our “Friends of #HFFH” posts, and today we’re super excited to showcase the ultimate girl traveller ambassador, our (virtual) friend, Nastasia – the founder of the female travel and empowerment community, @DameTraveler. We started chatting to Nastasia in 2019, when she originally reached out to ask if she can feature one of our images in her upcoming book Dame Traveler: Live The Spirit Of Adventure. Without question we said yes, and now, with the book launched and selling fast off the proverbial Amazon shelves, we thought we’d sit down to chat to Nastasia to find out a little more about the super inspiring girl traveller project: @DameTraveler . Interview with Nastasia...

We left on our journey almost 5 years ago. It started as a sabbatical, but as our two-person travelling agency gained clients, and we continued clocking up more kilometres, it grew into a lifestyle. Not only has the way we travel changed – our camera gear has changed too (you guys might remember when we dropped one of our cameras in a huge puddle in Italy?) Well, as we travel with our life in four bags, it’s key for us to get the most out of the equipment we have (since we can’t really bring everything we want). Enter the Canon EOS RP mirrorless system.     Please note: this is less of a technical post, but rather an opinion...

We don’t know about you guys, but when we find out we’re going to be visiting a massive city like London, we tend to get a little overwhelmed during planning. Not because it’s difficult to find things to do – nooooo. On the contrary, there’s so much to see and do in London – with more Pinterest boards and Insta tags dedicated to the city, than there are people in it – that we worry we won’t get enough time to do it all. So where do we begin when creating a London itinerary? Well, for us it’s easiest to create “themes” or concepts (we have to thank our ad days for that), and then group items together, ending in...

When we landed in our 49th country, we weren’t entirely sure what to expect. Malta, the unassuming archipelago, is perfectly situated in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, just 130km (80 miles) south of Italy’s largest island, Sicily, and 450km (300 miles) off the coast of Tunisia in Northern Africa. A little research was done ahead of our trip (naturally), so we knew that English was widely spoken (bonus), and folks drive on the left hand side – great similarities to our own home country, fellow member of the British Commonwealth, South Africa. We also heard about the amazing food – being so close to Italy, it was really no surprise. But no matter how much research you do on...

You have heard us preach about our “quit it all and sell everything” methodology to get you to travel around the world. I guess you don’t blame us – it is exactly what we did in order to get on the road and travel full time (like we have been doing since March 2015). But what if you’re not ready (or worse, able) to just pack up and go because you’re a homeowner? What if it’s not as easy as just selling the furniture, and packing a bag?     Before leaving, we were renting an apartment in Johannesburg, a mere 5 minute drive away from our offices, and as much as it was liberating to sell everything, pack-up, and...
