Camping with your family can be one of the most rewarding experiences you and your loved ones will ever have. It allows you to get away from day-to-day life, and enjoy some quality time together in nature...

We’ve partnered up with global bike-sharing system Donkey Republic, and flight and accommodation search engine Momondo, to explore some of Europe’s most esteemed cities, hoping to prove that anywhere, anything, with anyone, at anytime, is simply a bike ride away…oh, and that there’s no better way to explore a city than on two wheels. Follow along in what we have affectionately called our #TourDeDonkey. Our final stop: Munich, Germany The mission: Find the most active ways to experience the city   We get it. When you arrive at Munich International Airport (from one of the flights you found on Momondo), you are more than likely going to be thinking about all the beautiful golden nectar you can drink at one of the many world-famous...

As originally seen on Traveller24   It’s been a crazy, wild, unforgettable (and slightly unbelievable) journey, travelling full-time for nearly three years. We’ve done some extraordinary things, and we’ve been to places we hadn’t even heard of when we left on our trip in March 2015. But every great journey starts somewhere, and for us, it was our Wanderlist (our own affectionate term for our traveling Bucket List) that turned our “someday” dream into a tangible trip of a lifetime. Back in early 2014 (when traveling around the world was a mere figment of our ambitious imagination), we decided to write down on a piece of paper, all the wonderful dreamy things we’ve always wanted to do (you know, in case we ended...

Follow along in what we have affectionately called our #TourDeDonkey.   Our third stop: Berlin, Germany The mission: Create a beat with a local artist (and get musically inspired)   This was not our first trip to Berlin. We visited it on a brief sweep nearly 2.5 years ago, but our mission back then was a simple touristy one. This time, we flew into Berlin Schoenefeld (as you can, from practically...

As you can imagine, we are traveling on a super tight budget. Any costs we can cut, we will do our best to do so. That being said, though, there are two things we spoil ourselves with in each and every city. Chanel, of course, tastes a local pastry (as it's part of our Wanderlist), and I, well, I spoil myself by buying, tasting and photographing a local beer. Beer has always been a part of my life. I'm not saying that I'm a drunk, but I really do enjoy the nuances of beer tasting, and with over 30 countries under our belts, we had to unbuckle them somewhat after all the beer we've tasted on this journey. But it's really difficult to say who...

Let me start off by saying that animal portraiture is a lot harder than it looks. We knew this from the many hours we spent 'dog stalking' back home at some of  Johannesburg's many parks. Anyone remember @PixelPaws on Instagram? Yes, that was our first 'shot' at moving-target photography. We literally have thousands of dog portraits on our hard drive, so we should look at sharing more of those...

I am going to make you want to visit Southern Germany in Winter. I'm normally quite neutral, sharing our travel stories with a gleam of hope that it'll inspire you to go there too and create your own memories, but I never say "book soon" or "you have to go before you die". Well this post is different. You are going to want to book soon, and I highly recommend you go before you die. Let's begin with this shot I took on the first day of our road trip (probably my favourite photo to date - tough call, I know...

Our motto and motivation is to “collect experiences, not things”. Whilst on our journey, we’re aiming to spend our time and money on spectacular experiences, to be left with incredible learnings and memories, not tangible objects. This way, we’re sure to keep our lives light without additional luggage, but also be the change we want to see in the world. Our next featured experience is the Topdeck Travel tour, Trail to the Alps. Let's talk about group travel for a minute. First few things that came to mind (up until recently) were: hangovers, no sleep, strangers, tears, young just-left-schoolians, and awkward small talk. A short while ago, our idea of group travel was a fairly chaotic one, as we remembered our 7-day excursion...

We have such a special relationship with Munich. Not because we love it more than other European cities (although it's definitely in our top 5), but because we have visited it 9 times already, and only really explored it recently, at the 12th Worldwide Instameet with the Munich Igers and our friend Ant, who joined us for yet another adventure, a.k.a AntVenture. Munich has always been our meeting point, our stopping ground, and our place for layover. Whether we were arriving from or leaving to South Africa, or simply passing through to get from one European city to another, we know the Munich Hauptbahnhof like the back of our hand (we've even spent a night napping on the station's floor, waiting for a 3am train #travelingonabudget). But...

This way, we’re sure to keep our lives light without additional luggage, but also be the change we want to see in the world. Our third featured experience is the annual Munich Oktoberfest. Beers, boobs and bretzels are our immediate highlights, and yes, in that order. Oktoberfest has taken every party or festival we've ever attended, and made it look like a small house gig. The sheer volume of people was a shock to the system (roughly 6 million attend each year), which made us wonder how many...
