Bali attracts photographers from all over the world, and it’s no wonder why…     We absolutely loved our time on the Indonesian island, and cannot WAIT to go back. But any photographer that roams the Earth – and is lucky enough to sustain that wanderlust lifestyle professionally, or otherwise, like we do – knows that taking that perfect shot is only half the battle. Post-production, personal branding, networking, and that lovely, lovely admin… It’s these aspects of the hustle that separate photographers in a saturated industry.     While there are some fantastic coworking spaces in Bali where you can accomplish the more mundane tasks, they aren’t spaces that have embedded the needs of the travelling photographer into their raison de’tre. Enter Genesis Creative Centre – a...

If we had to list all the reasons why couples and families fall in love with Bali, then we'd probably never finish this blog post. It seems that more and more people (of all ages) are choosing to travel to (and live in) this Indonesian beauty, and we're certainly not blaming them. The exotic weather, delicious food, wonderful blue skies, ample sunlight, and that laid back atmosphere are just a few reasons (we still can't get those amazing three weeks we spent on the island back in 2017 out of our minds), but let's take a closer look at why Bali is the go-to travel destination for many couples and families, shall we?     Bali is sunny throughout the year Ample daylight alongside a...

Nasi Goreng and Mie Goreng. Bánh Cuõn, Phõ and Cao Lâu. Amok, Lok Lak and Kuyteav. Okonomiyaki, Mochi and Sashimi. If you've traveled through Asia (specifically Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Japan) like we recently have, you'll know that these hard-to-pronounce words are in fact extremely popular (and widely-eaten) dishes from the four countries. Those that know me well, know that I have a slightly sickening obsession with food. I dream about food, rely on food to get me through the hard days (sometimes a little too much), and if I wasn't traveling the world taking pics and telling stories, I'd probably be running a vegan beach-side bakery (maybe that's a dream I need to fulfill in the next decade...

Let me introduce you to @desi.strolls aka Désirée Illsinger. Despite her French name, Desi (as we have come to calm her) is a proud German who has spent majority of her life living in grand German cities, such as Hamburg and Munich. She takes amazing photographs, writes (look out for her first self-published novel coming soon to a book store near you), and is not afraid to hop on a plane and travel to far off places solo...

There's few places in the world that are synonymous with paradise; pure, uninhabited, postcard-perfect paradise. If you say "Bali" to pretty much anyone, visions of sultry jungle-like resorts, crystal blue waters and endless cocktail menus (and/or yoga studios) come to mind. To some (mostly those stressed and tired of hustling city living), this is the perfect paradise. We mentioned earlier this week that there's mainly two ways to travel through Bali - either on the cheap (which we did for a few weeks) or you travel through Bali the way you'd travel if you were on an endless honeymoon, lounging around in exquisite villas, enjoying the ultimate me-time, down-time and sexy-time. We were fortunate enough to visit five of Bali's most Instagrammable...

There seem to be two ways to do Bali. You could either get yourself a luxurious villa or a room at one of the the gazillion resorts available, or you can really enjoy the epitome of #BudgetTravel and do Bali on the cheap. For the most part of our 3-week excursion, we did the latter, and we're still amazed at how far we managed to go (yes, that was a little punny pun pun) on a low budget.     We hopped around quite a bit, spending a little bit of time at the bottom of the island at Padang Padang, some time in the main city centre of Denpasar, hopping from homestay to homestay in Ubud (that little village featured in Eat Pray...

Guys, we have FINALLY made it to Asia! Bar that one night in Bangkok back in 2015 *flashbacks of eating fried crickets, eeeek*, we have been saving ourselves for this incredibly diverse and totally-taking-us-out-of-the-comfort-zone part of the world, and even though it is indeed very different for us, some little nuances have made Gili T (our first stop) feel a little like home; a little bit like Africa, particularly Zanzibar (which we explored a little less than a year ago). Our trip to Zanzibar can only be described as a dream. We bathed in the most turquoise waters, bar-hopped for happy hours on the beachfront, swam with turtles, and enjoyed some much needed cultural submersion, proving that to all the tourist-focused luxury is...
