    You guys might remember our first trip to the Dolomites and the little town of San Candido (if you don’t, you can check out the story here). We caught a train ride from Austria arriving in the small town, instantly falling in love with the area and the gorgeous mountain range (which we, to this day, mark as our favourite range in the world).     Our TLC / BD trip* continued, and the next stop on the whirlwind itinerary was Seville in Spain. Beautiful, beautiful Sevilla (as it is known by locals). Ah, what a city! Small but not cramped (I noticed even in Barcelona that the Spaniards design their cities to be quite spacious so yay for Spain), and oh so colourful!     Half the fun of travel, as we’ve seen with our recent trips through East Africa, Central Europe, Austria's Winter Wonderland and now Mauritius, is that it’s the people you meet and get to spend time with, that really make the trip.     We recently launched our FaceBook page. It's nothing fancy - somewhere to house and share our blog post links, Instagram posts, current news, and soon, our live events. To be honest, we were hesitant to launch a FaceBook page, and, well, you could say we've waited a lifetime (in social terms) to do so, only going live after 14 months of launching the How Far From Home brand. We also recently received a message from someone saying "Welcome to Facebook :-) You call yourselves marketing people and you only joined now. Tisk tisk. Lol." Or something like that. Perhaps all the poop scooping and unplugging got to our heads Mr Lol, but in what marketing text book (do those still exist?) or how-to-create-a-successful-brand-for-dummies handbook...

    Travel is a strange thing. Every new place you visit leaves an impression on you. Sometimes, it's filled with hidden gems that blow you away, turning you into a renegade travel ambassador, selflessly promoting this new place you've found; and sometimes, you experience a massive let down that leaves you underwhelmed and with a bad taste in your mouth.     Home to the Union Jack, Queen Elizabeth's guards, (currently) the world's largest Ferris wheel, and the original underground train line, London, let me just say, is on a completely different level. This was not our first trip to London. We galavanted through the British streets back in 2012, on a Eurotrip that inspired us to come back to Europe. It was pleasant to see that not much has changed in three years, and, if anything, London has gotten more beautiful. We were lucky to visit the European Instagram headquarters on this trip, to have lunch with some of the world's coolest and smartest people (they really are). Whilst on our journey, we’re aiming to spend our time and money on spectacular experiences, to be left with incredible learnings and memories, not tangible objects.     We have such a special relationship with Munich. Not because we love it more than other European cities (although it's definitely in our top 5), but because we have visited it 9 times already, and only really explored it recently, at the 12th Worldwide Instameet with the Munich Igers and our friend Ant, who joined us for yet another adventure, a.k.a AntVenture. Munich has always been our meeting point, our stopping ground, and our place for layover. Whether we were arriving from or leaving to South Africa, or simply passing through to get from one European city to another, we know the Munich Hauptbahnhof like the back of our hand (we've even spent a night napping on the station's floor, waiting for a 3am train #travelingonabudget).
