    Peru / 30.06.2018

I write this aboard our flight from Cusco. It’s the 25th of June, and yesterday was the 2018 Inti Raymi festival – FYI the second biggest annual festival in South America (after Rio’s glitzy Carnival which takes place every February). The memories are still fresh, and I’m simultaneously editing our Inti Raymi InstaStory (I like to stay busy whilst flying ;) so expect an energetic and (probably) over-zealous post. Let’s start with some history...

    Netherlands / 05.05.2018

As originally seen on Bored Panda   Every year around mid-April, The Netherlands is transformed into a technicolor wonderland, as millions of tulips bloom all at once. The Dutch are known for many things, but their tulips have become a worldwide phenomenon (which is also funny to note, because the tulip originally grew in the Middle East and was brought over to The Netherlands by some Turkish Sultans several hundred years ago). As sniffing tulips is part of our Wanderlist, we set out to capture all the colour during our recent week-long Dutch excursion. We ventured into the world-famous Keukenhof gardens (originally built in 1641 as a garden for the Keukenhof Castle) – not too far from Amsterdam – which today is home...

    Portugal / 31.03.2018

We are nearing the end of our four-week trip in Portugal’s eccentric capital, Lisbon, and since it feels like we’ve been testing transport more than anything (and one of the city’s icons is a vehicle), I thought I’d dedicate our post to the various ways you can see it. For those of you who have never been to Lisbon (or have never seen images), the city is filled with tiny little cobbled streets. It has that European charm that you can expect from the EU, but what it also has (unlike some of the bigger inland capitals of Europe) is a coastline – a coastline with bridges, beachy pedestrian zones, and sunsets that delve off into the ocean (like in Cape...

    India / 17.03.2018

As a regular reader of our blog, you’re familiar with our love for life-changing experiences. You know we left our predictable life over 3 years ago, in order to see the world and collect a whole bunch of memorable experiences. You also know we’ll do anything to tick off the items from our Wanderlist. If you’re not a regular reader, and you didn’t know all that, then welcome to the first of many posts about our desire to collect memories and not things. We thought it only be right to begin this blog post with that intro, because, well, we will tell you right now that attending the festival of colours a.k.a. Holi, in the mystical land of dreams (that celebrates...

    Germany / 22.02.2018

We’ve partnered up with global bike-sharing system Donkey Republic, and flight and accommodation search engine Momondo, to explore some of Europe’s most esteemed cities, hoping to prove that anywhere, anything, with anyone, at anytime, is simply a bike ride away…oh, and that there’s no better way to explore a city than on two wheels. Follow along in what we have affectionately called our #TourDeDonkey. Our final stop: Munich, Germany The mission: Find the most active ways to experience the city   We get it. When you arrive at Munich International Airport (from one of the flights you found on Momondo), you are more than likely going to be thinking about all the beautiful golden nectar you can drink at one of the many world-famous...

    Finland / 02.02.2018

Ok, ok, I might be getting a little ahead of myself. No, we have not decided to give up our full-time traveling life (yet). There’s still some burning steam left in us, and there’s still a million and one things we need to see and photograph (obvs), all across this beautiful planet, so no, we are not moving to Helsinki just yet. BUT. When we do eventually decide to settle, and get dogs (that’s really the main reason we’d give up this whirlwind life), I am going to fight hard for it to be in Helsinki. Let me tell you why...

    Food, Poland / 12.01.2018

At the end of last year, we managed to tick off our 75th item on our Wanderlist by visiting my Motherland a.k.a. my family's home country – Poland. For those of you following along regularly on Instagram (hey fammmm!!) you might remember me teaching you how to make Pierogis that one time? Or you might remember how I forced Stevo to try all the amazing foods I ate as a kid (ok, "forced" is probably not the best word, as he did so willingly)? Well, if you're not part of our Insta Crew (why on Earth not?!), and you did not know that Polish cuisine made up 99% of my diet as a kid, then - SURPRISE! Let me use this opportunity...

    Austria / 21.12.2017

We’ve partnered up with global bike-sharing system Donkey Republic, and flight and accommodation search engine Momondo, to explore some of Europe’s most esteemed cities, hoping to prove that anywhere, anything, with anyone, at anytime, is simply a bike ride away…oh, and that there’s no better way to explore a city than on two wheels. Follow along in what we have affectionately called our #TourDeDonkey.   Our fifth stop: Vienna, Austria The mission: Explore (and photograph) the city’s festivities   If you are like most people, the festive season for you means food, family, friends, and frantic shopping.  If you travel on two wheels like we do, this might also mean new places to explore, new friends to make, and new traditions to try out. All...
