    I must begin this post by apologizing to our regular readers. We've been really quiet (on the blog) and we haven't been able to keep up with the one-blog-post-per-week frequency that we set for ourselves. But if I told you that we'd been to twelve cities in six countries this month alone, would you forgive me? Hope so #TrueStory And some of you may have noticed that our website has a new look?     As you can imagine, we are traveling on a super tight budget. Any costs we can cut, we will do our best to do so. That being said, though, there are two things we spoil ourselves with in each and every city. Chanel, of course, tastes a local pastry (as it's part of our Wanderlist), and I, well, I spoil myself by buying, tasting and photographing a local beer. Beer has always been a part of my life.     Our obsession with the Dolomite mountains (and the adorable little town of San Candido) came out of nowhere. Visiting the mountain range was one of the new items we added to our ever-growing wanderlist late last year, after we semi-watched an Austrian show (only semi because we didn't really understand the audio) about the Bears that have been introduced into the area. That, and this beautiful pic we saw on Chris Burkard's Instagram feed, had us wanting to visit, so when we spoke to Anna and her mom at the gorgeous Boutique Hotel Zenana, we knew a trip to San Candido had to happen (and soon).     Half the fun of travel, as we’ve seen with our recent trips through East Africa, Central Europe, Austria's Winter Wonderland and now Mauritius, is that it’s the people you meet and get to spend time with, that really make the trip. We’ve been extremely lucky to meet some crazy, cool, and creative people during our 15 months, but one of the highlights for sure, has been the recent trip we did with fellow South African photographers, Roy, Gareth, Gav and Scrooch, and the wonderful social media team at the LUX* Resorts & Hotels in Mauritius.     Let me start off by saying that animal portraiture is a lot harder than it looks. We knew this from the many hours we spent 'dog stalking' back home at some of  Johannesburg's many parks.     There's countries you know you need to visit before you die, because, well, half the world has been there and you've seen the iconic photographs and TV shows (do people still watch TV?!). Italy, France, USA, and Japan come to mind. Then there's countries that not too many have discovered, and really raved about. Sure tourism is high almost everywhere, but some countries don't get enough limelight. Well, Namibia is, in our opinion, one of those sensational gems that really could use some more attention (especially because we've had "Walk through the Namib desert" on a road trip in Namibia on our Wanderlist since the beginning).
