Red Tide At Tsitsikamma

$49.00$169.00

Part of the How Far From Home South Africa Collection print series: taken during a spontaneous road-trip through South Africa’s Western Cape in March 2019.

Clear

“Crossing the Elandsbos River on day three of our five-day Otter Trail hike in South Africa’s Western Cape was a game of timing. You need to check the tide timetables and plan your hike to arrive before high tide reaches the crossing, and we luckily made it just in time, with the river coming up around waist-high. If we’d come only half an hour later, we wouldn’t have made it, and the ominous tannin-dyed waters would’ve been a definite (unplanned) resting spot for us.”
