Cactus Fields in Oudtshoorn

$49.00$169.00

Part of the How Far From Home South Africa Collection print series: taken during a spontaneous road-trip through South Africa’s Western Cape in March 2019.

Clear

“In the Klein Karoo area of South Africa lies Oudtshoorn – a small town known for its ostrich farms, which were created during the ostrich-feather boom eras of 1865-1870 and 1900-1914. Although most visitors seek out the feathered flightless birds, we were captivated by the arid landscape and prickly flora which makes up most of the town. The morning light gleaming over these cacti certainly created a mesmerising scene.”
