Reasons Why Couples And Families Are Loving Bali

If we had to list all the reasons why couples and families fall in love with Bali, then we’d probably never finish this blog post. It seems that more and more people (of all ages) are choosing to travel to (and live in) this Indonesian beauty, and we’re certainly not blaming them. The exotic weather, delicious food, wonderful blue skies, ample sunlight, and that laid back atmosphere are just a few reasons (we still can’t get those amazing three weeks we spent on the island back in 2017 out of our minds), but let’s take a closer look at why Bali is the go-to travel destination for many couples and families, shall we?

Bali is sunny throughout the year

Ample daylight alongside a warm tropical climate is what makes this majestic island the top option for those who love the beach; especially those couples and families that have sand, surf and sun as their top priorities. The island gets an average of twelve to thirteen hours of daylight every day, which gives visitors more than enough time to enjoy all the things this island has on offer (not to mention, enough time to catch a radiant year-round tan or to go swimming with this flamingo ring float – because who doesn’t want to do that at least once in their lives?!)

The beaches

A couple of the best family hotels in Bali are situated along some rather magnificent beaches. This island has a wide collection of beautiful beaches, and equally as many hotels are located on them. The beaches all have their own unique appeal, and set of characteristics. These range from the island’s southern white sandy coastline (which includes the Bukit peninsula’s secret limestone cliff-fringed beaches), to the remote beaches further up on the Northern side of the island, where all the calm waves are found.

Balinese hospitality

While several other destinations (Singapore and Dubai come to mind) take pride in things like modern city living, Bali takes pride in its hospitality. Everything from the welcoming homestays, and the friendly faces you find at the restaurants, to the inviting taxi drivers that greet you at the airport, and the proud local tour guides, itching to share their home with you. Whether you’re visiting to enjoy some “me time”, or you’re curious to learn more about the culture through festivities and ritals, we found making new friends on this particular island to be way easier than most.

Value for money

Bali is definitely one of the most affordable destinations. Shopping, world-class dining experiences, yoga studios, co-working spaces, and hotel rooms are mostly within budget – you’ll literally be living the dream, with a coconut in hand. Over the years their currency has fluctuated, but the exchange rate (whether you’re coming from USA, UK, or South Africa) will almost always be in your favour, and it will still be considerably cheaper compared to most places in Asia. Note: your shopping experience can be a lot more fun too if you happen to be a good haggler or negotiator (just ask Collin Abroadcast).

No matter what your reasoning, Bali is a wonderful place to visit, and if you choose to stay longer and call Bali home, then good for you! Can we come over and have some freshly squeezed juice on your villa’s porch, please? Bali is really everything a couple or family would want from a modern-day paradise – there simply aren’t many places like it.
