Hello New Year! A new start, new goals, new motivation, a new outlook on life, and new Instagram accounts to follow (at least that’s what we’re here to assist with). But can we first acknowledge the fact that we all actually made it through 2020! We managed to somehow scrape through one of the toughest years we’ll all have in our lifetime, so before we go any further, let’s have a tiny celebration on the spot…

Ok, now that that’s out the way, let’s get onto the good stuff…

So much has changed since we published our first Instagram accounts compilation post, “25 Instagram Accounts That Will Make You Want To Quit Your Job And Travel The World” back in 2015 (which, if you haven’t read, you can do so here), and since it’s an app we spend many hours on each week (and we know you probably found us through Instagram so can relate to our likes #yourvibefindsyourtribe), we thought it was time for a fresh update, listing our favourite Instagram accounts that inspire us and keep us feeling motivated.
Instagram has definitely had some, um, interesting evolutions in the last 5 years (let’s not even discuss the algorithm) but with the addition of IG Stories, IGTV, personalised Filters, Reels, and with the new Shop and Guides features (Guides coming soon at the time of writing this), we love how it’s becoming easier to add value and create more content for your community, no matter how big or small.
But we’re not here to talk about the latest Instagram features! Sorry, I got a little side-tracked…
We’re here to celebrate the creative and inspiring individuals who bring joy to our lives every time their Instagram accounts appear in our feed. They’re our favourite Instagram accounts – some belong to friends of ours (real and virtual), and some just remind us to keep on trucking, and keep on pushing our creativity. This list could’ve probably been a lot longer (as there are a ton of amazing creatives out there) but we thought we’d start with these 39 Instagram accounts for the start of the year. Why 39? No reason, really – it just felt right.

THE SOLO TRAVEL DUDES
Ok, some of these guys have got girlfriends, but their accounts are for them and their travels, which is why we have them under the “solo travel dudes” section (that’s not the point here though). The point is that they’re some of the most talented and passionate storytellers we’ve come across. We’ve travelled with four of the five (yet to meet Mr Dewey in the flesh…maybe this year) so we know first hand that they’re some of the hardest working and passionate individuals too, making us appreciate their work so much more.
