Predicting what travel will be like and what trips in Europe you’ll be able to take in 2021 is something no one can do with absolute certainty. Travelling again will allow us to find ourselves, and feel this unprecedented joy of arriving at a new destination and facing new challenges and brand new experiences. That is something we have indeed all been deprived of this past year. And while we have all begun to make our first plans for where we want to go (Chanel and Stevo, for example, are currently planning some African bush adventures while Stevo recovers), the following European destinations seem to have already caught the eyes of travellers.

Azores
Like another Hawaii, Azores is surrounded by steep cliffs that seem to stand out from the crowd with islands and dense vegetation. The archipelago, 950 miles off the coast of Portugal, is a place of volcanic craters, thermal springs with sulfur, whales, and aspiring surfers trying to tame the waves. The site is also noted as having a sustainable tourism model; one might very reasonably say that it’s the European version of Costa Rica.
Salento
For some Italian-flavored trips in Europe, this year you should head south. Salento offers a “tougher” version of the best features of the country. It is a land full of olive groves, homemade and continuously evolving cuisine, and a series of arrivals that have raised the bar in recent years. Like the nine-room Palazzo Daniele in Gagliano del Capo, a 19th-century mansion that took on a different character with a thriving, modern renovation by hotelier Gabriele Salini.

Skane
Sweden‘s southernmost county often does not enjoy the attention it deserves. However, it is a destination worth exploring. Dubrovnik
Apart from being a favourite of Game of Thrones fans, Dubrovnik has always been an eye-catching destination, and the ideal starting point for Croatia‘s adventure. St Martin de Belleville
For a predominantly winter destination, travel to the mountain peaks of France. Trois Vallées is the world’s largest connected ski area, and St Martin is an excellent base from which to explore, offering an attractive village and a value-for-money getaway from neighbouring Courchevel and Meribel.
