Let us begin by saying that we are HUGE fans of Design Indaba (DI). We love what the brand stands for; we love how ambitious and inspired you feel every time (yes, every single time) you leave the conference; and we love the array of speakers that are on offer each year (in fact, it was this talk by Stefan Sagmeister, that we originally saw at the 2014 DI conference, that inspired us to quit it all and travel the world). So yes, we are huge fans of Design Indaba. We’ve been attending the conference for many years – this was normally a reward from our agencies, meaning that if we did good work, we’d have the opportunity to fly down to beautiful Cape Town...

We went on the most scenic road trip in the world. Bold statement – yes. A little biased towards this Nordic wonderland – definitely. Enough footage to prove it – we’ll let you be the judge. Having arrived in Bergen with no plans or expectations, we somehow managed to meet a friend-of-a-friend-of-a-friend who was kind enough to play hostess. We received a personalized tour of the cobbled city streets, a very comfortable bed belonging to a beautiful aspiring 13yr old blogger, and an evening involving a silent concert in front of the Lille Lungegårdsvann, as part of the annual Bergen International Festival. It was the perfect start to this leg of our journey. Thanks again Kat, Maria, Max and Martina....

Escaping to a gorgeous beach is always a great way to reset. While you’ll find sandy coastlines, roaring waves, and stunning scenery wherever you go, the East Coast of USA delivers some of the country’s most beautiful shores (and may be the perfect trip extension if you’re coming from abroad and looking to visit New York like Chanel and Stevo did). Here are 10 seaside getaways for beach lovers to visit this year.  Easton’s Beach, Rhode Island Newport is home to Easton’s Beach, which locals adore as much as visitors. Everyone gets to spread out along a three-quarter-mile coastline, complete with a concession stand, showers and lockers. After a few hours frolicking in the waves, kids can visit the beach’s...

Travel, for many, is a passion, an escape, and a way to explore the world. Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes to make your journeys possible?  Understanding the inner workings of travel can enhance your experiences and help you make informed choices, whether you’re a seasoned globetrotter (like Chanel and Stevo) or someone who prefers the road less traveled. Travel Infrastructure Travel infrastructure is the behind-the-scenes support system that makes traveling possible. It includes airports, roads, buses, hotels and more. Understanding it helps travelers plan their trips better, stay safe, and choose eco-friendly options. It’s also essential for a country’s economy because it supports tourism and trade. It’s a complex web of logistics and operations that...

Fifty Seven Waterberg was where we chose to stay for a couple nights, back in 2020 and then again more recently. It is really unlike any Big 5 Game Reserve lodge we have ever visited. Situated three hours away from the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg, within the secluded Welgevonden Game Reserve, lies a gem of a romantic retreat for couples looking to celebrate their love, safari style.
