Our motto and motivation is to “collect experiences, not things”. Whilst on our journey, we’re aiming to spend our time and money on spectacular experiences, to be left with incredible learnings and memories, not tangible objects. This way, we’re sure to keep our lives light without additional luggage, but also be the change we want to see in the world. Our next featured experience is the Trafalgar tour, Contrasts of New Zealand.   [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsbmhXMmkdI&t=9s[/embed]   Travellers come in all shapes and sizes. Each have their own unique way of interacting with the places they visit. Some stay hidden in the walls of the resort, only to venture out in perfect conditions. Others like to avoid their dwellings and prefer to get lost off the beaten path. Some like...

Different from our usual just-the-two-of-us trips, we recently took a Trafalgar tour, for a group-travel experience of a lifetime. 10 days, 1 sensational country made up of 2 contrasting islands, and a collection of 39 strangers who have proven that the best part of travel is the people you meet along the way. The last city on our Contrasts of New Zealand tour was Queenstown.   Imagine a town nestled on the shore of a deep blue lake (New Zealand's longest lake), set against the dramatic Southern Alp mountain range (the highest range in Australasia), offering visitors the opportunity to speed in jet boats across rivers in canyons, enjoy delectable buffets at pristine farmlands, take scenic gondola rides up high to view colorful views of the city, ski in the Winter, enjoy...

The third city on our Contrasts of New Zealand tour was Christchurch. I remember when we arrived in Oslo in mid-2015, just a few months into our journey. I felt somewhat nostalgic, as the “slick architecture with globally-known brands plastered on top” reminded me a lot of home. When our Trafalgar tour stopped in Christchurch for a night (giving us just enough free time to mingle around the South Island’s largest city), I couldn’t help but...

The moment I had been waiting for, all my life. I had mixed emotions – excited, yet slightly nervous. The day had come when I would be voted in as Chief. Yes, Chief. You see, during our recent Kiwi adventure with our friends from Trafalgar, I was thrust...

It’s safe to say that we’ve spent more time in Auckland than any other city on our travels. It wasn’t planned - it just happened to work out that way…and a lot can happen in 8 weeks, so I’m going to try summarise our adventure, as best as I can. Here goes! We spent the first six weeks looking after an amazing German Shepherd named Maddie (we miss you already Maddie <3), while her owner was away on holiday, allowing us the opportunity to live in Western Auckland in the Waitakere Regional Park (a.k.a The Waitak’s, as it’s known by the locals) for free - side note: the home was INCREDIBLE and we honestly felt like we’d struck house-sitter gold – a...
