    Vietnam / 13.03.2017

If you're like us (and not the majority, who will rent a motorbike and ride down Vietnam's coastline à la Top Gear style), you'll fly into what feels like Vietnam's Las Vegas (aka Danang aka boulevards of luxurious resorts), and take a quick 30-min taxi ride to the centre of Hoi An. Let me warn you - your image of Vietnam...

    Creativity / 02.03.2017

Today, March 2nd 2017, marks our second birthday. Boom! Two years! That’s 24 months, 731 days (luckily we had a leap year) and a whole lot of experiences that will be with us forever. We currently find ourselves celebrating our homeless two years in beautiful Hoi An (more on Vietnam coming to our blog soon), but we somehow wanted to celebrate with YOU guys, our amazing community, because, well, we probably wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you! Yeah, we probably would’ve stopped traveling after one year like we originally planned, but no! We are here, two years in, with a global community of incredible, travel-hungry individuals. So let’s have a second birthday party – you keen?!   The Creative Project Ok,...

There's few places in the world that are synonymous with paradise; pure, uninhabited, postcard-perfect paradise. If you say "Bali" to pretty much anyone, visions of sultry jungle-like resorts, crystal blue waters and endless cocktail menus (and/or yoga studios) come to mind. To some (mostly those stressed and tired of hustling city living), this is the perfect paradise. We mentioned earlier this week that there's mainly two ways to travel through Bali - either on the cheap (which we did for a few weeks) or you travel through Bali the way you'd travel if you were on an endless honeymoon, lounging around in exquisite villas, enjoying the ultimate me-time, down-time and sexy-time. We were fortunate enough to visit five of Bali's most Instagrammable...

There seem to be two ways to do Bali. You could either get yourself a luxurious villa or a room at one of the the gazillion resorts available, or you can really enjoy the epitome of #BudgetTravel and do Bali on the cheap. For the most part of our 3-week excursion, we did the latter, and we're still amazed at how far we managed to go (yes, that was a little punny pun pun) on a low budget.     We hopped around quite a bit, spending a little bit of time at the bottom of the island at Padang Padang, some time in the main city centre of Denpasar, hopping from homestay to homestay in Ubud (that little village featured in Eat Pray...

Guys, we have FINALLY made it to Asia! Bar that one night in Bangkok back in 2015 *flashbacks of eating fried crickets, eeeek*, we have been saving ourselves for this incredibly diverse and totally-taking-us-out-of-the-comfort-zone part of the world, and even though it is indeed very different for us, some little nuances have made Gili T (our first stop) feel a little like home; a little bit like Africa, particularly Zanzibar (which we explored a little less than a year ago). Our trip to Zanzibar can only be described as a dream. We bathed in the most turquoise waters, bar-hopped for happy hours on the beachfront, swam with turtles, and enjoyed some much needed cultural submersion, proving that to all the tourist-focused luxury is...

    BE INSPIRED, Wellness / 31.01.2017

Having just boarded our 60th airplane in two years (I like to track all the experiences on our trip…about to sleep in our 100th bed too, haha), we thought we’d dedicate a blog post to this still-cannot-believe-it’s-possible form of transport. If you have a fear of flying like I do (side note: it’s gotten a lot better in these 60 flights – I no longer crawl up into a ball of crying fits during take-off…now I just put my head of Stevo’s shoulder for comfort - this is a HUGE success for me), the thought of boarding a giant mechanical vessel that will reach heights of 39 000 feet (approx 12km) and speeds of 500 knots (approx 575 m/h or 926km/h),...

    New Zealand / 23.01.2017

Our motto and motivation is to “collect experiences, not things”. Whilst on our journey, we’re aiming to spend our time and money on spectacular experiences, to be left with incredible learnings and memories, not tangible objects. This way, we’re sure to keep our lives light without additional luggage, but also be the change we want to see in the world. Our next featured experience is the Trafalgar tour, Contrasts of New Zealand.   [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsbmhXMmkdI&t=9s[/embed]   Travellers come in all shapes and sizes. Each have their own unique way of interacting with the places they visit. Some stay hidden in the walls of the resort, only to venture out in perfect conditions. Others like to avoid their dwellings and prefer to get lost off the beaten path. Some like...

    New Zealand / 17.01.2017

Different from our usual just-the-two-of-us trips, we recently took a Trafalgar tour, for a group-travel experience of a lifetime. 10 days, 1 sensational country made up of 2 contrasting islands, and a collection of 39 strangers who have proven that the best part of travel is the people you meet along the way. The last city on our Contrasts of New Zealand tour was Queenstown.   Imagine a town nestled on the shore of a deep blue lake (New Zealand's longest lake), set against the dramatic Southern Alp mountain range (the highest range in Australasia), offering visitors the opportunity to speed in jet boats across rivers in canyons, enjoy delectable buffets at pristine farmlands, take scenic gondola rides up high to view colorful views of the city, ski in the Winter, enjoy...
