17 Aug WHY YOU SHOULDN’T VISIT ICELAND IN SUMMER
This is going to be the shortest post I’ve ever written, because, well, there is really only one reason why you shouldn’t visit Iceland in the Summer, and that’s because you have a thing against natural beauty; natural beauty that will lure you in and explode beneath your feet, in front of your eyes and completely take your soul; a kind of beauty that will force you to reconsider all future Summer travel plans because you will want to come back again and again and again. Natural beauty that shows off every minute of every day.
From the colourful sands of Landmannalaugar, and giant ice blocks at the Jökulsárlón lagoon, to the gushing waterfalls at Skogafoss, Gljúfrabúi and Seljalandsfoss, and miracle waters of the Blue Lagoon and Hveragerdi’s hot springs, Iceland – you have us, and we have already started planning the next Icelandic adventure. We cannot wait to feel your moss, defrost in your hot springs, get wet below your waterfalls and climb your colorful mountains all over again (hopefully we can avoid your emergency rooms next time).
Kristín, Óli, Hákon, Karítas, Lina, Margaret-Sara, Flokki, Bruno, Äriel, Skuggi and Kesse – we had the best time meeting you, and cannot thank you enough for making our first Icelandic experience so special. Until we meet again!
